What 12K mile road trip would be complete without a few dives!
While getting fitted for a Madiera wreck dive in Lake Superior, we heard the rumble of thunder. The storm location and hour drive north of Duluth, MN provided a beautiful day and dive. Vis a bit low due to recent rains, but, extremely enjoyable and we were also able to make some new inquisitive friends – Sculpins – Give your pics the Vivid-Pix Fix!
On the road again: through the State of 10,000 Lakes – up to Voyageurs National Park. As we begin to view a few of our National Parks, we are awed by the variety of these treasures that our forefathers provided to us. Voyageurs: 500 miles of untouched coastline....

Our memories are the stories of us. They’re the bridge to our past that links us to our grandparents, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and friends. Like treasured heirlooms, our memories teach us that the bonds of family and friendship need to be cherished above all else. It is a hard life, but we took it upon ourselves to take off to a beautiful tropical location so we can help you get great vacation photos.
Our goal is to help you find out which phone or camera is best for your vacation photos, with particular focus on the feature that attracts much of the attention . . . taking them into the water — many without the necessity of additional waterproof protection.
Adventure cameras and cell phones that can go into the water are what drew the attention of the two of us. We both make our livings in jobs that involve cameras in water, so we tackled the challenge of comparing lots of these devices to help you make a more informed choice.
In preparation for the vacation season and summer fun, Vivid-Pix and professional photographer and instructor, Sandy Sondrol, went to a tropical paradise and tested more than a dozen smartphones, camera, and underwater housings to help you get better vacation photos.
