Helpful Scanning Tips:
Vivid-Pix recommends scanning images as JPG/JPEG or TIF/TIFF.
At a minimum of 300dpi for prints and 1200 dpi for slides (if scanner can scan slides).
It is advisable to scan at 600 dpi for prints and 2400 dpi for slides to allow better resolution when cropping and zooming into image.
For standard scanning, JPG/JPEG is fine.
For archival scanning, TIF/TIFF is recommended.
As it is best to improve an original scan using Vivid-Pix RESTORE, turn off any color enhancement features when scanning.
