Curt Witcher, Director of Special Collections and Manager of the Genealogy Center, describes their activities and working with Vivid-Pix. “Family History is for the whole family – young and young-at-heart alike. We’re passionate about teaching younger generations about their family history and connecting them with older adults who share their wisdom and stories. That connection helps older adults stay connected and improves their cognition. By combining the Genealogy Center in-library and outreach activities with Vivid-Pix Solutions, we are broadening the important role we play in our community.”
Rick Voight, Co-Founder and CEO of Vivid-Pix, elaborates. “For over a century, we have taken photos, and throughout history, documented, journaled, and via oral history captured a snapshot of people, places, events, and our lives. Everyone and every event have at least one story and often more, as we all perceive and remember things differently. Ensuring that we restore, relive, and share these memories is why we’ve created Vivid-Pix Solutions – a portfolio of products and services that can be used by individuals, families, and organizations – to connect loved ones and communities.”
